Sci-fi Fantasy Medly Tattoo

For years I've contemplated getting a tattoo but could never figure out anything I wanted. I might have finally thought of it. This piece combines my love of science-fiction, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Frazetta inspired fantasy, and a little HP Lovecraft for good measure. I hope you enjoy.

UPDATE: As I was making some final adjustments to the art before I commit to having the tattoo permanently imprinted on me, I had an epiphany. During my design stage, I incorporated the elements of sci-fi and fantasy that have meant the most to me over the years. What I realized in doing so was that I had also incorporated two very prominent and iconic elements of pulp literature: Conan the Barbarian and The Call of Cthulhu. The significance of these particular icons lie with their original creators, Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft. These two authors grew very close over a series of correspondence letters in which they debated the philosophies of Barbarism versus Civilization. Howard believed that civilization was corrupt and fragile, claiming that barbarism is the natural state of man. Whereas Lovecraft was of the mind that civilization was the peak of human achievement and the only way to move forward. I thought it was interesting that I subliminally incorporated this dichotomy into my design. This is what I refer to as a "happy accident."
